WALTZ ...see it
​Waltz is a slow but fairly complex dance, danced to a 3:4 beat... Some of the music for Waltz is amongst our favourite songs & can only be Waltzed to. Your first Waltz course will be enlightening, especially the first 3 or 4 weeks where we will cover the foundation steps, but we are confident Waltz will become one of your favourite dances. 1st hour BEGINNERS...  Basics & practice with revision each week 2nd hour IMPROVERS...  A greater understanding of Waltz, more practice & fun moves to improve your ability on the dance floor.

This class will improve your ability on the floor and your understanding of dance movement and slow the aging process. Learn how to build the strength required  to correct bad habits & be capable of dancing correctly. More details... These 45 minute classes will be held on Mondays & Wednesdays 6:45 - 7:30 p.m. Why before our Jive classes? _TWO REASONS... 1. The venue is not available on Tuesdays & Thursdays 2.  The exercise of Jive afterwards will be a good follow up to the movement of a slower more controlled dance (think of it as gym work for your dancing)

Jive & Rock'n Roll ...see Jive
Jive is a fun energetic dance and... with music from the 60's, 70's & even 80's & 90's, you'll love this energetic dance where we mix up classic Jive & Rock'n Roll. Each danced over six beats of music, but 8 steps for Jive & only six for Rock'n Roll. The best of both worlds! Great fun, and it's a body & brain exercise that will keep you young. BEGINNERS...  Basic foundation moves & practice IMPROVERS...  More challenging moves, understanding of movement & all at a bit quicker pace

Quickstep is a fun modern ballroom dance that captures the imagination with the highs & lows of the music ...the light & shade. Most beginners dance Quickstep too fast, we will be doing our best to slow you down, so don't be afraid to have a go. We try to get people to 'celebrate' the slows to enhance the light & shade and develop the contrast of this beautiful dance. Fun music too. Beginners... Â Basics & practice with revision each week Improvers... Â More challenging moves and links between moves, more practice & fun moves to improve your ability on the dance floor.
