ABOUT VIENNESE WALTZ
Viennese Waltz was once the dance that would clear the dance floor, but since we've been running V.W. workshops it has become more & more popular. It's a very fast paced dance that we teach slowly and build up the pace more as we get more practiced, until we can move at full pace.
Imagine dancing basic V.W. in just two hours.
Well this is your chance. We are the original dance studio to teach V.W. en mass. Our teaching methods are well developed to achieve success very quickly.
After making sure everyone is at least "ok" the basics, we'll add side steps (not turning) and then put it all together with some fun practice.
One thing we know about getting to the "this is the most amazing fun" point of dancing V.W. is that you need to keep slogging away until it clicks. You also need to dive into the melting pot of V.W. i.e. Just dancing with someone who is really good will not make you work hard enough that you'll 'get there' & on the flipside dancing with another complete beginner will be incredibly hard work ...so you really need to keep mixing it up.
THREE SESSIONS?
Yes. These 3 workshops are obviously designed to work best when putting the three together but you can attend just 1, 2, or all 3.
IMPROVERS?
Improvers wanting extra Viennese practice are welcome of course. Many Improvers told us after the last V.W. for beginners that it was very beneficial, not only to go back to the breakdown of the basics but also to know how to dance with a beginner.
If you ask us should experienced dancers do the first two workshops, we'd say of course. Then you'd say "well of course you do, you're running a business"! Then why do we want people to accellerate their learning by counting their steps. The best dancers always find some benefit in revisiting the most basic learning. Dancing with a beginner will make you stronger!
The popularity of Viennese Waltz is growing more & more each week!
THAT'S LIFE
Just like in life, we are always either moving forward or backwards. There is only ONE time that we stay still ...and then it's lights out right! So needless to say, if you're not moving forwards you must be moving backwards. As soon as what you are doing is "good enough' you are moving backwards
PREPARATION
In preparation for this workshop we just need you to get used to one thing, counting "1, 2, 3" over & over and changing feet with each number :p
